Clemente is probably the best defensive right fielder in Major League history, winning 12 Gold Gloves in his career.  However, his skill was not limited to the outfield.  Clemente led the National League in batting in 1961, 1964, 1965 and 1967.  He was the National League MVP in 1966 and won 2 World Series Championships with the Pittsburgh Pirates.  Baseball’s annual award given for sportsmanship and community involvement is named in his honor.
