Coming in at number two is John Rauch, standing at 6’11. He first took the mound on April 2, 2002. For those of you who don’t know me, April 2 is my birthday, and a big reason why I chose to include John. I expect presents. He ended up pitching for six different teams. His record was three games over five hundred, and was also a member of the United States team that won an Olympic gold medal. John once got into a fight with one of his teammates when he played for the Mets. John poured a cooler full of cold water onto him while he was sleeping. As you may have guessed, the Mets released him at the end of that season. My favorite card of his would be his 2002 Upper Deck card. It appears that he is throwing batting practice due to the screen in front of him, but what is truly impressive to me is his high leg kick. At 6’11, it is quite high, and that would be one scary guy to bat against.
