Kidd was a 10-time All-Star and won a championship with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011.  Kidd was a superior all-around basketball player and his ability to shoot, pass, and rebound made him a consistent triple-double threat.  He retired with 107 career triple-doubles.  At that time only Oscar Robertson and Magic Johnson had recorded more.
