In 1995, Garnett became the first player in two decades to go directly from high school to the NBA.  He went on to play 21 seasons in the league, during which he was a 15-time All-Star and won a championship with the Celtics in 2008.  Known for his tenacity and prowess at both ends of the court, Garnett is one of only five players to have won an NBA MVP (2004) and an NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award (2008).
