After starting his career with the Virginia Squires of the American Basketball Association, “Dr. J” broke into the NBA at age 26 with Philadelphia.  In 11 seasons with the 76ers, Erving was an 11-time All-Star and league MVP in 1981.  He also won an NBA championship in 1983.  Erving’s Topps card from his second NBA season runs $85 in a PSA 7 grade.
