Reed was one of the most-feared players of his era.  He was a foundational part of the Super Bowl winning Baltimore Ravens defense in 2012.  Many consider that defensive unit to be the best in the NFL since the 1985 Bears.  Reed played for 12 years.  In that time, he was selected to the Pro Bowl nine times, was the 2004 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, and led the NFL in interceptions 3 times.
