Within the soccer card collecting community, there is much discussion surrounding which set will be the sport’s “1986 Fleer Basketball”.  While we will not know the answer for another 30 years, my nominee is 2017-18 Topps Chrome UEFA Champions League.  With a borderless design and stunning photography, this set has tremendous visual appear.  In addition, the checklist includes most of the stars from European soccer.  Like most things in the hobby, this set has seen a value spike in the last 16 months.  In fall of 2019 a complete set of 2017-18 Topps Chrome UEFA Champions League Soccer could be acquired on eBay for around $50.  Now, a raw version of the Mbappé card alone will set you back $375.
