Potential Baseball Hall of Famers (Part 1 of 3)
Alex Bregman
Bregman completed his seventh Major League season in 2022, and his career to this point has been wildly inconsistent. In 2018 and 2019 Bregman turned in MVP level seasons, and in 2022 he was an All-Star contributor for the World Series Champion Astros. However, he was dreadful in 2020 and 2021. At only 28-years old, Bregman still has plenty of time to put together a Hall of Fame career. My feeling is that he will make it. Bregman already has two title rings, and he plays third base, which is an underrepresented Hall of Fame position. These factors are favorable to Hall of Fame voters and should be enough for him to get selected, even if his career statistics end up being borderline.
Bregman has prospect cards in 2010 and 2016 Bowman Chrome, which cost approximately $20 in PSA 9. Another option is his 2017 Topps Chrome rookie. This card runs $25 in PSA 9 and $40 in PSA 10.
