Potential Baseball Hall of Famers (Part 1 of 3)
Paul Goldschmidt
In 2022 at age 34, Goldschmidt produced the best season of his career. He led the National League in on-base plus slugging percentage, was voted the Most Valuable Player, and was an All-Star for the seventh time. Many think last year’s MVP punched Goldschmidt’s ticket to Cooperstown, but I am not convinced. Although he has won four Gold Gloves, Goldschmidt’s career power numbers are lower than other first basemen in the Hall of Fame. I believe that he needs at least one more All-Star level year to get into the Hall. Goldschmidt’s first cards are in 2011 Bowman Chrome. His Bowman Chrome Draft from that year costs $50 in PSA 9 and $150 in PSA 10.
