A few weeks ago, I authored an article in this space questioning the logic of spending $250,000 on a 2023 Bowman Chrome Druw Jones Superfractor.

A similar sale that caught my attention took place in February 2022, when the Jasson Dominguez Superfractor sold at auction for more than $450,000.  

Complete insanity.  

Dominguez is a twenty-year-old outfielder currently playing for the Yankees’ AA affiliate in Bridgewater, New Jersey.  In fifty-four games this season Dominguez has an on-base plus slugging percentage of .741.  This is respectable for a twenty-year-old minor leaguer, but not indicative of a future All-Star.

Below are six more legends that I would be more comfortable buying than Druw Jones or Jasson Dominguez.  Happy collecting!
