Machado had difficulty adjusting to his new surroundings in San Diego last season.  However, it is worth picking up some cards of this 4-time All-Star and 2-time Gold Glove winner.  Machado has the talent to win an MVP someday (he has finished in the top-10 in voting 3 times) and the Padres have as much young talent as anyone in baseball.  As a result, Machado should be playing deep into the postseason for the next five years, which will have a positive effect on his card prices.
