Nolan Arenado

When Arenado left Denver and signed with Saint Louis for the start of the 2021 season, I was interested to see if his offensive production would decline as he moved away from the thin air of Colorado.  In two seasons with the Cardinals, there has been little drop off in Arenado’s plate performance.  Last year, he hit 34 home runs and knocked in more than 100 runs.  This year, he is on pace to equal or surpass those totals.  On the defensive side, Arenado won the ninth Gold Glove of his career in 2021.  Now in his tenth Major League season, Arenado’s consistent excellence in the field and at the plate will give him an opportunity to be considered the greatest third baseman of his generation.  I believe he will be in Cooperstown someday.

Arenado’s first Bowman Chrome card comes from the 2010 set.  In mint condition a copy costs approximately $50.  Also popular is his 2013 Topps Chrome Update, which runs $130 in PSA 9.
