In his rookie season of 2019, Alonso clubbed a National League leading 53 home runs.  He followed that up in a COVID-shortened 2020 with 16 and has hit 17 so far in 2021.  Alonso’s sweet swing allows him to hit long, majestic home runs, a characteristic that collectors have always loved.  With the Mets looking like a playoff contender this season Alonso is worth adding to your collection.  Right now, his 2019 Topps Chrome rookie in a PSA 9 only costs $20.  That seems like a steal to me.
