When Being Imperfect was Perfect
Eventually along my journey, I found the perfect card. It was the 1972 Topps Alan Foster card. The photo was taken when he was with the Cleveland Indians and later airbrushed to reflect that he was now with the California Angels. In my humble opinion, it was the holy grail of airbrushed cards. Still to this day, I get a warm, happy feeling seeing good ‘ol Allen in his Angels hat.
Nice write up, Joel! I loved the air brushed cards of the 1980s.
This was a great read. Thanks, Joel! Looking forward to many more articles.
