A Love Letter to Flea Markets
Derek Jeter
“The Captain” played two decades in the Major Leagues, all for the New York Yankees. During his career, he was a 14-time All-Star and regarded as a central member of the Yankee dynasty that won five World Series the late 1990s and early 2000s. Jeter’s most prestigious rookie card is his 1993 Upper Deck SP, which usually sells for six-figures in high grade. At the other end of the price spectrum is his 1993 Topps. I was able to acquire this card as part of a complete set of 1993 Topps, which I purchased for five dollars. The 1993 Topps Jeter goes for around twenty dollars on eBay.
