Woodson was one of the premier defensive players of his generation.  During his 16 years in the NFL, he was an All-Pro 6 times and NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1993.  Woodson won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens in 2001 as part of a defensive unit that many consider to be the best ever.  Woodson’s rookie cards come from time where print runs were massive.  This, coupled with lower collector demand for defensive players, means that you can still get gem mint copies of Woodson’s rookie cards for under $100.
