As a sophomore in 2022, McKinstry was a unanimous All-SEC selection, and this year he is regarded as one of the best defensive prospects in the college game.  McKinstry will spend most of his time at cornerback, but Alabama plans to utilize his electric speed retuning punts as well.  

An early test for McKinstry will be a visit from the Texas Longhorns on September 9.  In this game, McKinstry will faceoff with junior wide receiver Xavier Worthy, who is the top pass catcher in the Big 12.  Should be fun.  McKinstry’s 2022 Bowman Chrome University is available for less than $5 in raw condition on eBay.
