In terms of sheer winning, no one can compete with Russell.  He won 11 championships as a player and coach for the Celtics across three decades.  Russell also demonstrated that a defensive player could control a basketball game by showing shot-blocking prowess possessed by few other NBA players before him, or since.  During his career, Russell was a 5-time NBA MVP and a 12-time All-Star.
